Annual Enrollment is October 23, 2024 through November 6, 2024 for 2025 benefits!
Your enrollment checklist
As a reminder, there are two separate enrollment sites for the array of benefits* being offered.
- Know your options and costs. Review your current medical, dental, vision, healthcare and dependent care FSAs, HSA, basic life insurance elections, your basic long-term disability taxability election and your basic life insurance beneficiary designation in HRConnect, including any HSA contribution amounts. Access HRConnect through OKTA on SegalNet, click on Me, then on Benefits.
- Reexamine your supplemental life and AD&D, spouse and dependent life and AD&D and supplemental long-term disability insurance needs. Log in to or register at thehartford.com/benefits/enroll to enroll in or make changes to these benefits. review your beneficiary designations for supplemental life insurance, and see your costs for 2025.
- Complete your annual enrollment elections via HRConnect and The Hartford, including FSA elections, by November 6, 2024**.
- Verify that each of your family members’ names and corresponding Social Security numbers on file are correct. To check this information, access HRConnect through OKTA.
- Update your personal information and beneficiary designations. If you have recently married, divorced, had a child, or experienced any other relevant family change, make sure your records are updated. It’s also important that you designate a basic group life insurance beneficiary if you haven’t done so.
*Employees with HRA balances will see a $39 decrease in their accounts. If you still have an HRA balance as of January 1, 2025, it will be reduced by the annual account administration fee of $39. Each subsequent January 1, HRA account balances again will be reduced by the annual administration fee, so you should continue to spend down your account.
**IT has informed us that HRConnect may be unavailable on October 26, 2024 due to scheduled maintenance; please plan accordingly.
Want an FSA in 2025?
If you are eligible for and want to contribute to a Health care and/or Dependent Care Flexible Spending Account in 2025, you must make an election during the annual enrollment period — your 2024 elections will not carry over automatically.
Don’t wait until the last minute to enroll!
While we’re all very busy, please don’t wait until the last minute to enroll in 2025 benefits. And please ensure your time zone in HRConnect is correctly set to your local time, so that your ability to make annual enrollment elections in HRConnect does not end earlier due to an inaccurate time zone. Instructions are available on the 2025 benefits microsite.
What happens if you don’t enroll?
You must enroll if:
- You want to make any changes to your coverage
- You want to participate in a health care and/or dependent care FSA for 2025
- You want to change your HSA contribution as of the beginning of the year
- You currently waive medical coverage, and you want to continue to waive medical coverage in 2025
- If you have duplicate dependents listed in HRConnect and want to eliminate the duplicate records. Please do so by following the instructions for deleting duplicate dependents posted on the 2025 benefits microsite.
- If you want an electronic beneficiary designation (rather than paper record) for your basic group life insurance.
If you are not affected by the above, you do not need to take any action to update your benefit elections. However, you must still review your:
- Elections in HRConnect and The Hartford during annual enrollment and keep a record of them (print to paper or to a file)
- Elections in HRConnect and The Hartford after annual enrollment ends and keep a record of them (print to paper or to a file), and
- Paycheck contributions for the 1st payroll of 2025.
Ensure they are all correct. Report any discrepancies to Janet Arce and Winnie Tang no later than January 31, 2025.
